MATTE IS BACK - Maybelline's new matte lipstick

In case you haven't heard, matte is back!  Drugstore makeup brands are jumping at the chance to constantly compete with high end brands by launching products that are currently on trend.  The latest seasonal trend right now is matte lipstick.  Maybelline has officially launched their version of the matte trend, and you can find Maybelline's Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipstick in stores now.  Maybelline has 10 matte shades available and unlike other matte lipsticks, Maybelline's formula is creamy and moisturizing on the lips.  The creamy texture of this  lipstick does affect the longevity of the wear, but when in doubt, simply reapply your lipstick.

Go RiRi - Rihanna Viva Glam II - MAC

 

 Hey guys,

 

 

RiRi has done it again!  Rihanna has teamed up with MAC cosmetics for a charitable cause. MAC will debut their Rihanna Viva Glam II lipstick in stores in the U.S.  on 9/11/14.  All proceeds from Viva Glam sales go towards the MAC Aids Fund/MAF, which helps people with HIV/Aids worldwide.  This will be the second lipstick that Rihanna has done for the Viva Glam project.  The first Rihanna Viva Glam lipstick was a metallic frosty red lipstick.  The new Rihanna Viva Glam II is a metallic frosty mauve lipstick.

Lorac cosmetics has done it again! The Lorac Pro Palette 2 is now in stores.  The first palette focused on nudes, such as, soft brown, champagnes, golds, warm browns and mauve colors.  This new palette focuses on jeweled toned colors, such as, purple, rose gold, burgundy, navy, sage green, silver, grey and black; just in time for fall.  Just like the original Lorac palette, the Pro palette 2, has a top row of 8 matte eye shadows, and a bottom row with 8 shimmery eye shadows.

MEOWWWWW...Jcat Wonder Lip Paint

 

 

 

Hey guys,

 

Jcat beauty were recent exhibitors at the IMATS LA show, and they have just released their new "Wonder Lip Paint."  This water based lip paint is an economic version of the OCC cosmetics "lip tars."  The wonder lip paints are light weight, intensely pigmented and come in a variety of colors.  Although you can maintain a glossy lip by applying lipgloss, the lip paints start our very glossy, but do set to a more natural finish.  Just like the OCC lip tars, you will need a lip brush to apply/"paint" this to your lips.
