Beat the Heat - Prevent Summer Makeup Meltdown - Prime & Set

Makeup primers for every budget

Hey guys,

Do you want your makeup to beat the summer heat?  Then "beat that face" with a makeup primer and setting spray.

Spray your face with a makeup setting spray after your makeup application

Now for those of you who are not familiar with the term "beat that face," it essentially means that your makeup is done very well, or in slang terms, your makeup is "laid" with two snaps and a twists for drag queens.  It does not mean that someone has beaten your face...lol.

In all seriousness, foundation primers provide a smooth canvas for your makeup to adhere to and actually minimizes the amount of makeup that gets in your pores.  There are makeup primers that can shrink the appearence of your pores, resulting in an overall youthfull appearence.  Just in case you're also known as "slick rick," there are also oil-control makeup primers that prevent and minimize your face from appearing oily and shiny.  For the ladies that love a little sparkle, there are makeup primers that provide your skin with a youthful and  natural glow.  If you have mature skin, theres also primers with anti-aging features such as vitamin A, C, E, etc.  The more features the makeup primer has, the more expensive it can be.  Fortunately, makeup primers are now available in various price ranges from drugstore brands to highend designer brands.

Makeup primers

Here are some makeup primers that I recommend:
-NYC Pore Finish Makeup Primer $3.99 dollars

-ELF Studio Makeup Primer $6.00 dollars

-Loreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfercting Base Primer $12.99-$13.99 dollars
-Rimmel Makeup primer $6.99-$8.99 dollars
-Mac Primer $29-$40.00 dollars

-Smashbox Photo Finish $40.00-$50.00 dollars

-Benefit Porefessional $36.00 dollars

-Lancome Pro La BaseMakeup Primer $42.00 dollars
-Makeup Forever HD Microperfercting Primer $39.00 dollars
-Mally's Perfect Prep Poreless Primer $35.00-$45.00 dollars

A setting spray prolongs the fresh look of your makeup and it should be applied after all of your is done.  If you need your makeup to last all day or all night, a makeup setting spray is simply a #MUST HAVE!  Once again, there are budget friendly setting sprays and highend setting sprays.  I've also seen some DIY (do-it-yourself) directions on making a homeade setting spray.  Today's setting sprays can provide a matte or dewy finish and can even provide your face with a chilly sensation to keep you refreshed and cool especially when the weather is hot.
